This year's expansion includes categories specifically recognizing excellence in natural hair care, braiding artistry, and the best newcomer barbers across the continent. These new categories were developed in response to overwhelming demand from both industry professionals and the voting public. The addition of the Best Natural Hair Stylist and Best Braiding Artist categories acknowledges the unique skills required to work with diverse African hair textures and traditional styling techniques that have been part of our cultural heritage for centuries. Nominations are now open, and we encourage everyone to submit their candidates through our website. The voting period will run from June through August, with the grand ceremony scheduled for September 2025 in Dar es Salaam. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting awards season.
